Coaching Philosophy
As a teacher, coach, and a parent of two college sons, I know that struggling in school can be difficult for everyone. My years of experience as a teacher have demonstrated that students who struggle oftentimes need more guidance in how to “do school” so they are successful. I can attest to being on both sides of the emails and messages that ask, “where is the assignment that was due last week?” I use different lenses with students so that they see the why behind what’s happening at school. As a team, we work on solutions that are catered to their learning styles. I’m committed to take the time to build a trusting relationship so that we can focus on strategies that are effective for them, not a cookie cutter approach to building EF skills.
